Summer in NYC!
As many of you on this list already know, every year I start a little club of people interested in attending mostly free summer events around the city. This includes the best places to see the July 4th fireworks, picnics during NY Philharmonic Orchestra in the Park, picnics during Metropolitan Opera in the Park, waking up at 6am to get tickets for Shakespeare in the Park, SummerStage concerts at sundown, picnics at Bryant Park Film Festivals, River to River festivals, salsa dancing under the stars at Hudson River Park, Museum Mile Festivals, cruises, parties etc.
That’s pretty much it; you don’t have to do anything but receive e-mails and RSVP. If you’re wondering, I got your contact either from yourself or from a friend that added you on this list; I usually send out e-mails once every 1-2 weeks.
• If you want off this list (I really won’t be offended), e-mail me.
• If you have a friend not on this list (he/she doesn’t have to be from Columbia and I don’t have to know him/her) who would like to receive these notices, e-mail me.
• If you know of any events that I haven’t mentioned, e-mail me.
• If you miss my company would like to catch up and have dinner/lunch/coffee/drinks/midnight walks, you already have my number.
Those of you who enjoyed our many adventures last year: please send me suggestions on how to improve this summer; I’m always open to new ideas.
As for myself, I’m living on 53rd street and 8th avenue for the next year, about 2 short blocks from the famed Chicken & Rice cart. If you find yourself around, give me a call and swing by! You can also visit my roommates Rahul, Brian Foo, and Teriha if you like them more; they’re fantastic people.
